Mitchell Orval has caused controversy by sharing a video of his toddler son playing close to a saltwater crocodile. 

In the video,which was posted to Instagram but appears to have since been deleted,one of the Australian influencer's young children wanders by the shore at Tiwi Island in the Northern Territory,where the family are on holiday. 

The video then pans across the sand to the water were a croc looms,just metres away from the boy,who appears to be one-year-old Sunny,who he shares with fellow influencer Chloe Szepanowski. 

He captioned the footage,'On the beach of the retreat'. 

An earlier post showed father and son cuddling up before the outing,and was captioned: 'Off to see some huge crocs'. 

According to Perth Now,Tiwi Land Council's camping protocols warn visitors about croc attacks. '

It comes after a happy announcement as Mitch and fellow influencer Chloe Szepanowski (right) announced their engagement this weekend
